I was wondering if anyone has created or has seen an "infinite life" or an
"infinite energy" code for "double dragon 3" for regular nes system Last edited by regibold123 : 03-01-2004 at 10:07 PM. |

tried this already
I even tried the much more energy code, and still lost on the first mission.
This game seems to be the most impossible to beat of the series, I would definitely need an "infinite life" or "infinite energy" code. There doesn't seem to be one on the link you sent me, thanks for trying though |

Does your GG work with other games?
If it does, let me know and I'll see what I come up with trying to hack the codes you want. HW

well, any codes, even hacked codes, work with the GG on my regular nes emulator.
EXAMPLE : The only problem I found with GG was with codes on the original metroid. I tried using the "all items code", ya know the "ALLGKP" one, along with one of the walkthrough walls codes to pass the room with the blue statues to get to the elevator shaft that leads to motherbrain's lair, where you have to freeze all the metroids before going into the next room. Well, I would kill a couple, then the whole game would freeze. Guess, you can't cheat your way to end of that game successfully. This is just an example. If you can find a way to prevent this also, that would be cool. Otherwise, I've had no problem with other games, codes all seem to work without a flaw. I think that "Much More Energy" code for "Double Dragon 3" only goes so far. Nes really F#*?ed up that game, it's nearly impossible to get anywhere in that game without using the GG. When you do, with the codes that ARE out there, you still wind up losing, unless I really suck at it. Had no other problems with any other Double Dragon games. Thanks again for your replies and thoughtfulness. |

Ok, the only reference it gives me in the properties section for the emulator is this. It's called [fceu.exe] the icon on my desktop looks like the original NES game system, don't know if all the emulators look like this, the icon name is FCE ULTRA. Forget where I downloaded it from, it was a long time ago. Hope this helps ya.

Hackwiz - thank you, the energy bar is now infinite. However, yes, I'm sorry to say there is a however. As hard as you've tried to find or create this code for me, I feel so bad for telling you this. I got to the first boss on mission one, and he will not die, I spent 20 minutes trying to kick this guys a** and he won't disappear to let me go to the 2nd mission and so on. The rest of the enemies die, it's just the bosses I think.
The code's almost perfected, I think there is a infinite code Tony Hedstrom created for Double Dragon 1, the side effect to his code does the same thing, the BIG enemies didn't die for that one also. I really thank you though for doing your absolute best, and if there's another version of the code that you can work on or find, let me know. |

I didn't play the game much when I hacked the code. HW

Forget the Game Genie code.
Go into the cheat menu. NES->Cheats->Add cheats Enter in: Inf. health (Address) 045D (Value) 54 If you do it correctly an alert will pop up that says cheat added. back up a screen and click on the inf health cheat to make sure it's enabled. Let me know if this works for you. HW

hi, i searched and searched for this code all over the net. problem is i am using nestopia as my emulator.... is there a similar code i can use for that program? it does have places i can enter code for "Address" and "Value" but there is also an entry called "Compare". i tried leaving this space blank and using the code you mentioned above but it wouldn't validate.
i would love to finaly beat this EXTREMELY hard game as well, thanks. |
